Culture
The Ministry of
Culture, Youth and Sports is the main government agency
directly responsible on matters of culture. Besides having a
specific section on culture, the ministry also oversees the
Museum Department,
Brunei Darussalam History Center and the
Language and
Literature Bureau.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth
and Sports administers the
Cultural Act which makes up of the Antiquities Act 1967,
Books Preservation Act 1967, Brunei Darussalam Archives Act 1975
and Wild Animals Protection Act 1978.
The Ministry in addition to its
departmental initiatives also works with
non-government Cultural Institution or Organizations in
Brunei Darussalam in maintaining the cultural heritage of the
